Saturday Football
Obliging for Coffee this week:

Friday night served up a goalless draw between Chelsea & Fulham. Fulham were excellent on the night, Marco Silva has them playing some lovely football.

*Saturday*

Everton v Arsenal (1230)
If you are feeling down about the state of West Ham, then take a look at the utter mess Everton are and it might cheer you up a little. However, they have made the managerial change, and Dyche is probably the right fit for their relegation battle. Arsenal continue to impress and the “dip in form” hasn’t happened as of yet. Too soon for the new manager bounce with the attacking threat Arsenal pose. Away win.

Aston Villa v Leicester (1500)
Three recent wins and a draw have probably pushed Villa to safety. Leicester find themselves in greater need of points, having amassed the same paltry total of 18pts as WHU. Maddison’s return might be the bit of quality to swing this one in favour of Leicester. Away win

Brentford v Southampton (1500)
Southampton have shown signs of improvement of late. However, I’m not sure the midweek cup exerts will help. Brentford have been good at home and have the fire power to breach that Southampton defence. Home Win

Brighton v Bournemouth (1500)
It’s hard not to be impressed at how Brighton are being run. Bournemouth have been to the “bargain basement” to sort out a few transfers, but Brighton should be too good for them. Home Win

Man Utd vs Crystal Palace (1500)
Man Utd’s revival is well and truly under way. A hiccup in the recent meeting saw them slip up and drop two points due to a late Palace goal. Palace have key injuries, I expect Man Utd to make no mistake this time and secure all 3 points. Home Win

Wolves vs Liverpool (1500)
Liverpool’s collapse has been the mirror opposite of Man Utd’s revival. While Wolves look an ordinary outfit I find it impossible to say a Liverpool win will follow. Draw

Newcastle vs West Ham (1730)
Can somebody lend me a bottle of optimism? Newcastle have the meanest defence and usually bag a goal or two. We have no fit (proper)striker and a slow defence and midfield. What could go wrong! I had a dream this ended 2-2. So it’s 2-2 or a Newcastle win. Home Win

*SUNDAY*

Notts Forest vs Leeds (1400)
Forest have made their 29th signing this season, bringing in Andre Ayew, who appears to be still stealing a living as a footballer. Leeds are a real mixed bag, but they have found an exciting player in Gnoto. Forest will look to make home advantage count and create a bit of daylight from the relegation drop. Home Win

Spurs vs Man City (1630)
Spurs were very Spursy in the recent meeting, blowing a two goal lead. Home advantage and grumpy Conte in his hospital bed, might point to a better chance for Spurs in this one. Nah. Away win

*Wednesday”

Man Utd v Leeds (2000)
A re-arranged fixture to extend the week. A throwback to a big game from the 70s. Expect a feisty affair and plenty of yellow cards. It a game in hand that Leeds have over the relegation contenders (Draw)

This Game takes me back to the 1965 FA Cup semi-final between these two..I was 14 and went with a mate who managed to get tickets plus my Dad worked on the railway so I got cheap travel we ended up watching the game from scaffolding where some bod was filming the game and we helped him with his equipment...Hillsborough was rammed and sadly I wasn't surprised what happened on that dreadful day.

Morning, four away wins, Arsenal, City, Liverpool and West Ham.

Six home wins two of them for ManU.

I could be wrong.

Everton looking a very different team to the one that rolled over at our place

Re: Saturday Football
Everton put in a great shift that half. Denied Arsenal any space. Should be ahead. You would imagine that they might tire a bit second half.

That's the best I've seen Onana play and first time feeling regret at Moyes not being able to get him to sign.

I wish we had got Dyche, he is so great.

He has got Everton running around.

All he needs to do now is add skill and goals then Everton will be a top 4 side.

🙄🙄
